An experienced instructor, people-friendly horses and a large arena provide a safe working environment. We enjoy working with both young and older students, those just learning to handle horses and how to ride, as well as those who wish to take driving lessons.
Lessons
We specialize in training people to drive horses. We like to begin using our own veteran driving horses. We emphasize safety and develop driver confidence. We teach proper harnessing and hitching procedures, proper contact and use of reins and whip, development of rhythm and gaits, bending and turning correctly, obstacle driving, and driving in traffic. We will also work the driver and their own driving horse. Horse driving is becoming a popular sport so why not join in on the fun!

Beginning riders learn how to take charge of their assigned horse so that they develop real appreciation for the responsibility of caring for a horse. They learn how to groom and lead. They learn how to bridle and saddle a horse and make adjustments. They learn how to mount, balance themselves, hold and use the reins properly, and use the cues for walk, trot and whoa.
We stress safety and explain the reasons for our careful procedures and methods. Using obstacles and games, riding lessons are made fun and interesting.
