Take a ride in an open bob sleigh hitched to a pair of beautiful, swift, light driving horses. Travel a trail through woods, fields, around ponds in the Town of Dunn countryside.
Watch the horses being hitched up if you wish or wait in our walk-out basement family room around a toasty wood-burning stove. When you hear the jingle of bells you will know it’s time to climb into the sleigh.
Authentic lap robes will help keep your legs and feet warm, but be sure to dress for winter. The driver, Wes, will take you around the trails by day or by the light of the moon for about 30 minutes. After your ride you can come inside and warm up by the stove with hot beverages and cookies. Wes will unhitch, put away the horses, and then come inside to tell you stories about how his dad farmed with horses in Iowa and other tales.
The sleigh holds up to seven adults but larger groups can be accommodated.
Rides are scheduled by appointment only and there must be sufficient snowfall. We are located just 5 miles southeast of Madison, Wisconsin. Gift certificates are available. Cost is $50 to hitch the horses plus $5 per person.
